Dr. Barbie Allegretti is a board-certified Chiropractic Physician with nearly 15 years of clinical experience specializing in Functional Medicine. She sees patients in person at Nourished in Hinsdale and Supreme Wellness in Oak Brook, and virtually through her online platform — serving new and established patients across all stages of life.

Over the course of her career Dr. Barbie has worked with thousands of patients, developing deep expertise in functional blood chemistry analysis, advanced specialty testing, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Her approach is rooted in finding root causes rather than managing symptoms — giving patients the clarity, direction, and tools to truly heal.

As a mother of three daughters — including a 12-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a toddler, all born at home — she brings a deeply personal understanding of women's health, pediatric care, and the real-life complexity of raising a healthy family. This isn't just her profession. It's how she lives.

Dr. Barbie's story:

"I came to specialize in integrative medicine out of necessity — for myself and for my patients. In my early 20s I had chronic pain that conventional medicine couldn't explain. After seeing multiple doctors and specialists, and even having surgery, I still had no answers. It wasn't until 2011, during chiropractic school, that I was introduced to functional and nutritional immunology. I discovered my issues were rooted in severe food sensitivities, nutrient imbalances, and hormone dysfunction. Once I addressed those root causes the pain resolved completely.

That experience changed everything. It became my mission to give patients what I didn't have — a doctor who actually looks deeper, listens carefully, and gives you a real path forward. Nearly 15 years and thousands of patients later that mission hasn't changed. I love what I do, and I'm honored to be part of so many health stories."
